How to Transition From a Vegan to Raw Diet

    • 1). Set a date when you would like to be fully transitioned. Make a list of reasons why you chose to adopt a raw foods diet and keep it with you for those times when you need to be reminded of it. Place a copy of your reasons on the refrigerator or bathroom mirror for self-support.

    • 2). Make a list of your favorite meals and find ways that you can replicate those meals raw. Develop an organized weekly meal plan and always have ingredients, fresh fruits, and fresh vegetables to curb temptation. Add raw snacks between meals for a week and then replace one meal a day with a raw meal until you feel confident enough to replace a second meal.

    • 3). Repeat Step three until all of your meals are replaced with raw meals. Allow your body time to adjust to the change with your new eating habit before getting discouraged. Avoid people who do not support your decision with your new lifestyle until you feel confident enough to not be pressured into straying away from your diet.
