- Fall is considered the low season in Hawaii, so ticket prices and hotel rates are low. While the temperature generally stays within a few degrees of 80, there is a rainy season and a dry season. Most of fall is in the dry season, so the weather tends to be good. Keep in mind that the Ironman Triathalon World Championships are every year on the second Saturday of October on the Big Island, so accommodations may be tighter and prices higher that week.
- After the rush of the holiday season and most schools' spring break pass, cheap fares can be found for Hawaii. From April on, spring is a cheap time to visit Hawaii. This time also happens to fall in the dry season, so the weather is typically very nice. One exception may be Golden Week in late April and early May, which is a holiday in Japan. Hawaii can be full of Japanese tourists that week, so prices may be higher and availability lower.
- Summer attracts families with children who are on break from school, so the deals will not be as good as in the fall and spring. However, you will find cheaper rates than you will in the winter. The weather is also the best in the summer (warmest and driest). Also, there aren't any large events/holidays of note that would cause crowds and prices to increase.
