Everyone knows that pregnancy takes a lot out of a woman.
Some days it's hard to just climb out of bed.
Many days, it's hard not to climb back into bed.
A pregnant woman who has another child or two experiences 2 to 3 times more fatigue during pregnancy.
She is being pulled in so many different directions and it becomes hard for her to keep her mind focused on her own health and that of the baby.
Since she can't sleep the entire 9 months away, so what can she do to combat these side effects of pregnancy? 1.
It is very important to consume foods that will benefit both mom and unborn baby.
Your body needs more calories while pregnant and the food you eat is what helps to provide the body with energy.
Food to the body is like gas to a car.
The better the gas, the better the car runs.
The healthier the food, the less mom feels worn out.
Food is probably the most important element you need to combat fatigue during pregnancy.
Snack between meals often; fruits and vegetables are the best for you.
2.
Exercise comes second to food.
You need the food to energize the body so that a work out is not impossible.
The more energy you use, the more you have.
This is a proven fact though you may not feel like moving at all.
A great aspect of exercise is that when you do sleep, it will be deeper and more restful which means you won't find yourself falling asleep throughout the day.
You may not want to exercise, but do it anyway regardless of how you feel.
3.
Put yourself to bed at night.
Don't wait until you fall into bed because you just can't go any more.
Napping during the day is fine if you can still go to bed early.
If a nap causes you to stay up late, fight the urge to nap or set an alarm for a very short nap.
This is because the next day may not go as planned.
You may have little ones that take a nap every day, but schedules get messed up all the time.
You can control fatigue during pregnancy with these simple steps, for your health and the health of your child.
