Is acne taking way your night's sleep? Acne problem is a very common problem that is faced by many young and old alike.
I have seen many people well in there late 20's that suffer from the same acne problems they did during their teenager days.
Some people also have the time-to-time breakouts that seem hard to explain.
Perhaps right when you are about to go out on a date or before that important meeting of yours.
I follow these 5 steps to get a clean and clear skin without and acne.
I would like to share them with you and hopefully they will help you as they have helped me in the past.
1.
The first thing you want to do is clean your face with a gentle face cleaner.
This is where the confusion is; many people think that a cleaner is some kind of soap.
This is not a true statement.
Soap can leave your skin very dry and irritated and this helps you get breakouts, which I am sure you don't want.
The keyword here is gentle and you can find many gentle cleaners out in your local store.
You should use the cleaner twice daily without scrubbing too hard.
Once you develop a good cleaning routine you will start keeping your pores clean and clear and you will notice the difference yourself.
But don't go over board with it.
Over washing your face will make you skin dry and irritated as well and then cause more breakouts.
So try to keep it to twice a day and you will notice the difference over time.
2.
Now this is hard to do because its our second nature to just pick on our pimples and pop them.
But I am sure that you have heard it a million times that you should not pop, pinch, or squeeze your pimples.
This only makes things worse.
I understand that you want to get rid of any visible signs of your pimple as soon as possible but by picking on them you are only making things worse in the long run.
By picking on them you are increasing the chance of them leaving a scar and if you irritate it enough then you can experience further breakouts.
3.
If you are suffering from regular acne breakouts and the regular over the counter acne treatments that you find at your local drug store are not helping you, then you need to seek professional help.
Go to you doctor and get some perception acne medication.
Your regular doctor can also refer you to a dermatologist in your area that will help you select the correct option to help you prevent acne breakout.
4.
Whenever you are going out in the sun you should use proper sun protection.
This counts specially if you visit your doctor and get a perception acne medication.
The medication will leave you more sensitive to the sun than usual.
That's why you should always put on a good quality sunscreen before you leave your home to protect your skin against the harmful rays of the sun.
When you are picking out a sunscreen at your local store try to get one that is oil free for sensitive skin.
Try to wear a hat whenever possible to help shield your face from direct sun exposure and avoid being in the sun for extended periods like at the beach or sitting in the park.
There is a myth that is floating out there that sun exposure actually helps you reduce your breakout.
But there is no medical evidence to prove this and personally I would just avoid he sun if I can to reduce my chances of getting skin cancer.
5.
Exercising is not only good for your health but it an also help you reduce your acne breakouts.
Who would have thought? That's like killing two birds with one stone.
Exercising has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety and by doing this you are helping your acne problem.
Did you know that stress is one of the causes of breakouts? When you exercise, you also open up all your pores by sweating.
But its up to you that you keep them open by taking a shower after exercising and cleaning yourself up.
So you see, exercising is a win-win situation.
