An eve at Umeå, with Christmas and Christmas Spirit

The ascendance of Jesus Christ, the son of God to the earth, is annually celebrated as Christmas. It is celebrated with a cultural and religious twist. All across the world the festivity is widespread and reaches far out. Europe, America and all other Christian and non-Christians states.

Humans by nature love to be drenched in the essence of festivities. They bring in smiles, joy and make the people forget their problems for some time. Christmas is the biggest of them all. It's not a single day of holiday, but a month of planning, and execution, of numerous small details are taken into account for this time of the year. The carols are played, streets are covered with people dressed in Santa clothes. The legend of Santa Claus is also a fabled story. The favourite for kids, Christmas night is an eager wait. In European nations, "Christmas" continues for more than a single day.

In the start of the season, comes Advancement, starting four Sundays before Xmas Eve. December 6 is the next important, for it is the Food of St. Nicholas, familiar typically in Catholic nations on. But the cherry on top is the Xmas Eve. That's the ‘official' start for the festivities. Xmas Day is marked with many rituals, mainly in them is Gift Giving. Family and friends gather together and spent their time all in togetherness. That is the motive of this festival, and almost all other festivals too. To bring people together and spread the smiles across their face. After a month of unlimited gaiety, it's again a wait for another year. There are many European countries which are famous in celebration the Christmas festival.

The streets are filled with people braving the chilly wind taking a leisurely walk. The windows shine out bright with candle lights, the Christmas tree sparkles with the decorations. All of this are just factors which adds to the comforting feeling. The background in all parts of the nation plays an important role too, for we all know how beautiful the country is.
