Home & Garden Pest Control

A Cockroach Invasion Is The Last Thing You Would Want To Have

You might think cockroaches only live in old, derelict homes.
While it's true that cockroaches are attracted to grubby surroundings, they can still crawl through new and clean-looking homes.
This will be the case for several reasons: (1) If your house interiors are clean but your house exteriors are not (2) If some parts of your house are moist like your kitchen and bathrooms, and (3) if you don't take out your garbage.
If you don't want cockroaches to nest in your homes, you need to do effective pest management.
You can start your home roach control by cutting off their food and water supply.
Cockroaches eat almost anything.
But they are most attracted to rotting food like those inside garbage cans.
Don't leave your garbage to rot inside your house.
Take them out every night and make sure to cover the trash can after you're done dumping your garbage bag in.
You should also cover your food or put them in the refrigerator.
Cockroaches feed at night so if you leave food out overnight chances are cockroaches will find them and feed on them.
Keep all you quarters clean especially your kitchen and bathrooms.
These are the places that carry substances cockroaches find attractive: food and water.
You should always wash your dishes before sleeping.
If you're too tired to do it, place them in a basin filled with soapy water.
Then remember to clean them up in the morning.
Regularly clean your bathroom and give close attention to cleaning your toilet bowls to make sure no smelly substances are sticking to its sides.
Mop off excess water after your bathroom clean-up so you don't risk inviting cockroaches to drink from your bathroom oasis.
If cutting of their food and water does not work, you will have to do a reversal tactic.
Feed them.
But this time, you'll feed them with poisoned food.
Combine boric acid, flour and water and make fatal food pellets.
You can place them in the nooks where cockroaches live or pass through.
Seal off entryways with Vaseline.
Cockroaches are guaranteed to be unable to pass through this sticky substance.
You can also use cockroach repellent sprays.
They work fast on cockroaches as soon as the chemical mists get to their coats.
It can kill them or can turn them away from a food source.
The disadvantage is repellent sprays contain chemicals that can also be harmful to humans and house animals.
Some cockroaches also develop a resistance to some repellent sprays.
Using repellent sprays can be a fast solution to killing a passing cockroach but it will not get to the problem.
Since cockroaches are fast breeding creatures, you will be faced with a bigger problem.
It would help a lot and make the job of cockroach control easier if you hire pest management services.
Roach controllers have the latest equipment and use the best methods in dealing with cockroach infestation.
Give them a call and you will be free of cockroach control problems in no time.
