How Can I Get My Bichon Frise's Coat White?

    • 1). Brush your Bichon Frize regularly. Since this breed doesn't shed, brushing is the only way to remove dirty hair.

    • 2). Bathe your Bichon Frise monthly. Use a shampoo and conditioner for white fur and thoroughly bathe and dry your dog's hair every month. Avoid bathing more often than monthly so you don't dry out or irritate the sensitive skin that is common among many Bichon Frises.

    • 3). Dry bathe in-between baths with baby powder or corn starch. Apply the powder or corn starch to your Bichon Frise's coat and rub it in thoroughly. Brush with a soft brush to remove excess powder or corn starch and remove snarls and knots. The powder and corn starch absorb oil and dirt without irritating the sensitive skin of your Bishon.

    • 4). Clean paws and hair in-between baths with baby wipes designed for sensitive skin. Clean paws, fur, nose and around the eyes with baby wipes. Continue to clean your Bishon Frise until the baby wipes show no dirt.
