How to Copy Music to an iPod From the PC Using the Internet

    • 1). Download music from the Internet using popular sites such as Rhapsody, Napster and the iTunes Store. You can download this music to any location on your computer.

    • 2). Launch iTunes and click the "New Playlist" option. Click-and-drag the audio files you downloaded into the new playlist. This permanently adds the music to iTunes.

    • 3). Insert the USB data cable into the iPod, then insert the opposite end into one of the USB ports on your PC.

    • 4). Select your iPod from "My Devices" on the left side of iTunes. This opens a new display in the program with the different iPod options.

    • 5). Select "Music," then check off the boxes next to the new playlists you created. Click "Sync" in the lower-right corner of the screen and all the music you obtained using the Internet is placed onto the iPod.
