- 1). Measure the square footage of the parking lot, so you know how much artificial turf to order. Sweep the parking lot and remove all debris.
- 2). Spread a 2-inch layer of finely crushed stone over the parking lot. Smooth it with a rake, and compact it the best you can. Make sure it is as even as possible.
- 3). Unroll the turf so all the fibers are going in the same direction.
- 4). Secure the rolls of artificial turf together. To do this, pull back on the turf about 1 foot. Lay the seam tape beneath it, apply the adhesive and flop the two sides of turf together, adjoining them tightly. Make sure the seam is straight and even. Smooth out any wrinkles in the turf.
- 5). Secure the edges of the laid turf to the asphalt with artificial turf glue. It's made for this purpose and keeps it in place.
