How to Stop Your Dog From Barking Without Using a Shock Collar

Unless you are one of the few lucky dog owners who own a perfect dog you might already come across the term "excessive or nuisance dog barking" and most likely upset neighbors or landlords are nothing new to you.
So, somehow we ended up in the dilemma.
On the one hand, our dog is well known barker but we love him dearly and on the other hand we have our neighbor, who-truth to be told, we might not like that much, but who makes very good point when he claims that our dog disturbs him.
We know it is not right.
But how can we stop our dog from barking? What can we do? Well, sure enough you might have considered to buy one of those shock collars but somehow the idea that it might hurt your dog does not sit well with you.
Many say that it does not hurt our dog but you still are not persuaded.
Your gut-feeling tells you that there must be other way, safe and effective.
And guess what! You are right! There is absolutely safe and humane way to stop your dog from barking-without using shock collar.
As a matter of fact, this new way is even double as effective as shock collar.
It is called dog citronella collar and its effectiveness is based on the simple fact that dog does not like a smell of citronella.
Dog citronella collar looks just like regular dog collar but has attached small citronella container that is equipped with bark sensing unit.
Every time this unit senses dog barking it dispenses a spray of citronella towards dog muzzle.
It is safe but for our dog very unpleasant smell and it confuses our dog.
Due to very well timing of the spray as response to the barking, our dog very quickly associates barking with the annoying spray of citronella and will rather give up barking than to get sprayed again.
There are many different dog citronella collar models on the market today, some of which target only dog nuisance barking but many models also can be activated remotely and therefore are great tool to work on correcting many other negative dog behaviors such as: running away, not coming when called, digging, chewing and many more.
