Everything seems to be ideal when planning your holidays in Budapest. Geographical one of the best things about being in Budapest is the Buda Hills. These are wonderfully green and in many places provide spectacular panoramas over the city and the Danube. Picking a place to stay in Budapest is a pleasure, there is something for everyone.
Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace (*****)
It would be a dream come true at this Palace hotel, with all the royal treatment that you would get here. The Gresham Palace, now a luxurious accommodation option, is a more of a fairy tale home where you would love to have yourself pampered with the best of facilities and world class services. Each of the rooms and suites in the hotel are done to give its guests a taste of royal hospitality during the stay in Budapest. The signature spa and dining options in the hotel make it a complete experience.
Hilton Budapest Hotel(****)
Built in 1976 around the ruins of a thirteenth-century Dominican monastery (the cloisters of which you can still walk around), this hotel offers amazing views over the Danube to Pest (in some rooms). However, it should be noted that if your business is in Pest, the journey can be tedious during the rush-hour. The hotel's successful integration into the old ruins won it an architectural award, although today it may be considered a slightly intrusive addition to the Castle District skyline.
Mridien Budapest (*****)
Staying at Le Mridien Budapest is a winning proposition. With an in-house spa, boutiques and restaurants, an indoor pool, currency exchange bureau, 24-hour room service, beauty salon, children's playground, and several other amenities, it caters to all your needs. Located in a district which is in close proximity to tourist spots in the city, this hotel also provides you with the choice of exploring on your own. Businessmen can avail of meeting rooms, wi-fi and other facilities as well. For further details check the website.
Marriott Budapest Hotel(****)
Taken over by the Marriott chain in 1992 and renovated room by room, this hotel has been completely revamped with the exception of the monolithic, Stalinist architecture of the exterior. Most of the rooms have a small balcony overlooking the river and are comfortably and well furnished. The Sunday all-you-can-eat brunch is very popular with ex-pats. The hotel also has a large and well-situated fitness center with windows overlooking the Danube.
Victoria Hotel(***)
This is a small modern hotel, separated from the Danube (on the Buda side) by a road. It offers terrific views of the river and is surrounded by an historic area that has long been neglected but which has recently been undergoing renewal. There are many sights within easy walking and it has good access to public transport. Most of the rooms here are twins.
Radisson SAS Beke Hotel(****)
This is a charming hotel , one of the prettiest in the city, located very close to the Nyugati (western) station on a busy boulevard. The coffee shop in particular is not to be missed. Here, waitresses dressed in turn of the century costumes serve coffee and delicious cakes on beautiful Herend porcelain.
