Whenever I tell people looking to start a home business about being a marketing consultant, the first question I get asked is, "how much money can you make doing that?" And my answer is always the same: It depends.
But there are some ball park numbers that can give you an idea.
You just have to understand that as a marketing consultant, you are helping someone earn a lot of money for their business they wouldn't have seen otherwise.
And so it's not hard to justify some pretty attractive fees.
For example, I recommend home based marketing consultants charge fees that range anywhere from $1,500 per month (on a low end) to $4,000 or even $5,000 on a high end.
But the fact is, it really varies with the size of the business you're visiting with and the amount of work you're going to have to do.
Plus -- and this is the really remarkable part -- think about this: Not only are you charging enough money for the average person to live comfortably on per month...
but you might have a client for anywhere from four to seven months that you're retaining and working with.
And when you start to get the hang of things, and when you start realizing you can many times use the same tactics and solutions to help multiple clients, you will find you can work with anywhere from ten to twelve to fifteen clients at a time -- sometimes even more -- and still be "part time.
" But as far as the exact amount you charge, you've got to kind of determine how much time it's going to take, how large the business is, and their ability to pay.
And then you have to factor in your ability to create the value -- which may not be a lot at first, but you will get good very fast.
But really, no matter which way you look at it, you're making some pretty good money even on the low end of $1,500 per month.
Especially if you're doing it for 10 people at a time (i.
e.
$15,000 per month).
Just remember, marketing is a fun and easy to learn game.
And the trails have been blazed by so many people in the last 100 years, all it takes is a trip to the library and some time on the Internet, and you'll learn enough to create value very fast.
Certainly enough to justify $1,500 or more per month.
And when you do that for enough people simultaneously, right from your own home, you start to see a lifestyle emerge you just can't find in any other home business.
At least not for the low cost and simple learning curve it takes to get good at it.
