Symptoms And Remedies For Sinus Pressure

Sinus in general refers to a cavity, channel, or hollow.
By nature, our human body also has such cavities.
As for as human body is concerned we have four such sinuses present.
This cavity is usually filled with air or blood and lined with mucus.
Out of these four sinuses which are lined with cilia or mucus producing epithelium located at different bone spaces, the Para nasal sinuses of the face is responsible for the sinus pressure.
Generally the mucus layer is essential for human in many ways such as passages to the throat and the nasal cavity is kept clean by this secretion.
But if it is secreted more than the amount needed, it results in various ailments.
This mucus lined cavities of the face makes the nasal and throat passages to be moisturized always so as to breathe easy.
If the mucus secretion increases then it tends to block the passages causing severe pain and discomfort.
This will produce a pressure in the head especially in forehead creating sinus headache and this is accompanied with pressure near eyes, cheeks and ears too.
And when the mucus lining gets disturbed it will lead to bad breath and the condition is termed as sinus drainage.
This is the starting point of pressure inside head.
The sinus pressure can be identified with some of the symptoms.
It will start just like a common cold then it is followed by weakness of the body creating pain, fever with low temperature, running nose, pain in the facial bones exerting pressure and the final symptom being headache creating pressure which is excruciating.
Hence it is always advised to consult a physician whenever the symptoms of cold is there for a very long time.
There are several specialists available for treating this sinus pressure.
If the sinus is not treated properly at the early stage it will lead to dry cough all through the day leading to serious pain in the throat.
Then it is followed by the so called sinus attack or sinus drainage.
One must stay away from things that will block the passage and should avoid staying near dust filled room, near chemical emissions from an industry, away from animal hair and fur that may block too.
Also smoking is strictly not allowed.
By following all these people can reduce the ailments.
Remedies are available to reduce the sinus pressure and congestion.
One of the best remedy available today is to drink apple cider vinegar at the start of the infection.
Also water steam which is one of the traditional remedy from olden days can clear the blocked passage.
By using saline water to clear the throat, oregano oil while inhaling water steam we can get relieved from sinus pressure temporarily.
