The Obama Administration is on a road show again, and they are calling it the "Recovery Summer" meaning that the US economy is bouncing back to full-bloom - thanks to the "swift action" of the Obama Administration in passing the Stimulus Package.
Unfortunately, no one is buying it, and we are seeing an incredible loss of jobs in the public sector due to city and county governments out of budget money - throughout the country.
Public Sector jobs are going to be drastically cut, and the Federal Government is trying to pass a jobless benefits bill.
It's a vicious circle, not a Summer Recovery.
Indeed, on the same day that the Obama Administration claimed victory on job creation thanks to the 800 Billion Dollar Stimulus Bill - congratulating their leadership in saving the economy we see that a National Power Company announces 500 Lay Offs, the City of Merced CA announces major city staff cuts, Cherry Hill NJ lays off police officers, Baton Rouge LA laying off teachers and food service workers, the County of Sacramento CA laying off 700 workers, and in FL they are cutting libraries, and fire departments laying off huge numbers of folks.
The US Senate is pushing forward with lengthening benefits for unemployed with a new jobless benefits bill.
The reality is that the Obama Administration and Democrats sold out to Corporate Interests and socialist-liberal objectives.
If you will recall job losses increased after the Stimulus Bill, not decreased, and all those so-called shovel ready jobs ended up costing tax-payers more than $310,000 per job created? You could have just given people money and saved the taxpayers, $100s of thousands of dollars per job created, and stimulated the economy.
Even the Wall Street Journal had an article; "Job Woes Persist as Claims Increase," by Conor Dougherty and Emmeline Zhao on June 18, 2010 told the reality while Joe Biden and Obama were seen on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC out on a road-show claiming their Stimulus Package worked.
Why would they spin the reality at this time? Simple, even though the Stimulus Failed to create jobs as promised, and the Health Care "ObamaCare" Law is now being seen for its reality - the Administration now wishes to go for another horrible piece of socialist-leaning legislation "Cap and Trade" which will do nothing more than create an alternative energy bubble, and raise everyone's energy costs by a third at least.
Please consider this, let's dismiss the socialist-liberal failed policies which have made things much worse.
