There was a time when I had to take permission for every small thing from my parents. If I didnt and they came to know about it I get scolded. Then when I ask permission for things there are hell lots of questions as why, with whom and is it necessary. There are always suggestions as it is better to do this rather than that. If this is what I go through when I ask for permission its better to do things and later ask for forgiveness. I have also read a comment online which states that Asking forgiveness is easy than asking permission.

Its not always that I need to ask for everything but sometime my parents gives me surprises with new gadgets. But there are hidden conditions with these things which are that no one else should use it other than me. Being a college kid sharing and re-sharing with others is a normal thing. For our parents if they find that some of my stuff is with my friends they break all hell loose. They are more protective for me but they should at least let me have a space of my own. They still think me as a kid and to let me enjoy they took me for a picnic often. Once a year is fine but every three months a family picnic is just horrible.
