How to Create a Computer Boot Disk

    • 1). Boot up your computer and log into the operating system.

    • 2). Insert your floppy disk into your computer's floppy drive. Wait for the floppy disk to be detected.

    • 3). Double-click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop or click on the "My Computer" icon in the Start menu.

    • 4). Right-click on your floppy drive (A: drive) and click on the "Format" button.

    • 5). Choose the "Create an MS-DOS startup disk" option and then click on the "Start" button. The boot disk is created.
