It just doesn't stop: We're still in the grips of Caronte (A Saharan high pressure cell), and have been told that when it fades this weekend, those in northern Italy will enjoy (?) a couple of days of severe thunder storms, while everyone from Tuscany on Down will get Minosse, (Minos in English), one of the three judges of the Greek underworld -- yet another blast of superheated African air that will drive the thermometers into the triple digits (F) once again.
When it gets like this heavier pasta sauces are frankly too much. Tomato sauce is instead quite refreshing, and perfect over most any pasta. Here we have Orecchiette, a Puglian specialty.
