The 2008 BAFTAs - Nominees and Winners
Feb 10, 2008 - Atonement went into the 2008 BAFTA Awards with the most nominations (the period drama earned 14) but it was La Vie en Rose that wound up winning over the British film community. La Vie en Rose collected four awards although it was beat in the foreign language category by The Lives of Others. The Coen Brothers also soaked up some love from the Brits, earning best director awards for No Country for Old Men while the film's major bad guy, Javier Bardem, picked up yet another Best Supporting Actor trophy.
