How to Troubleshoot a Lost Screensaver

    Find Windows 7 Screen saver

    • 1). Right-click on any blank space on the desktop, and select "Preferences" from the pull-down menu.

    • 2). Click the "screen saver" link and a set of screen saver options opens.

    • 3). Look through the list of screen savers for the one you can't find. If you find the screen saver, click it and select "OK" to turn it on.

    Turn off PCMService if You Installed a Wireless Mouse

    • 1). Click "Start," type "System Configuration" in the search box and click "System Configuration" in the Programs list.

    • 2). Click the "Startup" tab and click to clear the "PCMService" check box. Click "Apply" then click "Close." Click "Restart" when prompted to restart your computer.

    • 3). Click "Start," right-click any blank area on the desktop and select "Preferences" from the pull-down menu. Click the "Screen saver" tab and find the screen saver you lost.
