It's all in the muscles! You can exercise the muscles surrounding your vagina, regardless of where you are.
Since it basically involves squeezing (kind of like when you really need to pee) and relaxing those muscles, it's a really discrete movement.
So you can be reassured no one will have a clue of what you're doing.
