    • Rare but serious side effects call for immediate medical attention. These include chest pain, irregular heartbeat, depression, high blood glucose, hallucinations and signs of low blood pressure including lightheadedness or fainting.

    Allergic Reactions

    • Some people experience an allergic reaction to Cartia. Symptoms include hives or rash, wheezing or difficulty breathing, facial and mouth swelling, or throat closing.

    Liver Considerations

    • Cartia can elevate liver enzymes, which may be a symptom of liver dysfunction.
