Let me start of by telling you a little about me, I'm a normal guy with a normal desk job and it appears that I have my life under control...
I kind of do, but when it comes to sleeping habits, I'm a wreck.
Not too long ago I couldn't get up and out bed until 5 minutes before I had to go if I shouldn't be late for work.
I'm talking everyday here...
I couldn't get out of bed earlier no matter what I tried.
And trust me, I've tried it all;
- Setting multiple alarms
- Getting to bed earlier
- Making promises to myself
- Had friends and family call me
- And a whole lot more
- You couldn't blame me for not being creative...
Now I get up at 5 am each and every morning and I'm telling you, my life has been so much better since.
I've get plenty of time to prepare my kids breakfast, a healthy breakfast with fresh fruit and pancakes on the weekends...
I also have time to take a daily morning run and I'm telling you that's the best way to start your day.
Every morning I wake a few minutes before the alarm goes off and I always have a smile on my face.
Compare that to not so long ago, when I was consistently grumpy and always needed an hour before I was "awake".
Another benefit of getting control over my sleeping habits has been that I actually sleep less now.
I used to sleep for around 9 hours and now I sleep 7½ hours at the most.
