Whatever they had in their minds, the Spice Girls; Geri "Ginger" Halliwell, Victoria "Posh" Beckham, Emma "Baby" Bunton, Melanie "Scary" Brown, and Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm, never ever thought that they would actually come together one day to support a stage musical that is based on their songs. Yes! They are back with a bang! The Spice Girls recently got reunited in London after four years to launch the Spice Girls music based musical, Viva Forever. Viva Forever is the jukebox musical based on a powerful feminine run script and boosted by the mesmerizing score of Spice Girls' non stop hits. The musical is to hit the Piccadilly theatre this November.

Back in the days at the London's St Pancras Hotel in 1996 Spice Girls filmed their first single, Wannabe when they did not even know their own strength. The same venue after so many years have marked the reunion of the five when they came together to spice up the theatrical world with their magical power; their music! So with a new platform to boost up the fame, Spice Girls launched the next phase of "girl power" as they like to call it. The next phase of this girl power entails, a West End musical Viva Forever based on the script of award-winning writer and comedienne Jennifer Saunders under the production of the same woman who has in her the real musical making skills Judy Craymer, the producer of Mamma Mia!

Judy Craymer has announced that "the new musical, VIVA FOREVER will open at the Piccadilly theatre in London's West End in perfect time for Christmas. Viva Forever will preview from Tuesday November 27th and will officially open on Tuesday December 11th 2012".
As was reported the team of Viva Forever along with the Spice Girls' decided not to turn Viva Forever into a tribute or biographical show. Instead a simpler and alluring technique has been set to let people relate themselves more closely to the show. "The same formula will be employed that has helped Mamma Mia! become one of the most profitable shows on the planet – an emotional story about ordinary people who just happen to break into song when the moment seems appropriate From the workshop video that was shown at the launch the story will be about a red wine-liking mother who lives on a houseboat with Viva, her spirited daughter. Viva is in a group with three friends and they try out for a TV talent show. They do well, but TV bosses suggest Viva goes it alone as a performer" (Brown, The Guardian).

Paul Garrington is the director of this musical with choreography by Lynne Page and orchestrations by Martin Koch. Hannah John-Kamen has been selected for the title role of Viva whereby Sally Ann Triplett will appear in the role of her mother. Both will play the impervious role of a crucial daughter-mother relationship, in a script that questions the value of relations when fame and fortune bumps right into them.
