The Lion King, Big Hit in London

The Lion King is an adventurous tail of the infamous Disney movie.
The movie delivers high energy and an outstanding performance by re-enacting this brilliant movie.
Full of bold and colourful scenery, special effects, and unforgettable characters makes this a favourite for the whole family to see.
The story opens with Rafiki, the baboon, introducing Simba to the animals of the Pride Land.
The story takes you on an epic journey of Simba's childhood from a young adventurous cub to a full grown lion that is in line to take over the King's throne.
King Mufasa shows Simba the land and gets him ready to take over his throne but one person, Simba's Uncle Scar, is envious of Simba and King Mufasa and will do anything in his power to prevent Simba from being king.
Scar creates a plot to kill King Mufasa and drive Simba out of the Pride Lands so he can take over the throne.
With the help of the mischievous hyenas, Scar is successful and destroys the land and hoards all the food and water for himself and the hyenas.
Due to the lack of water and food the Pride Lands begin to fall apart.
Meanwhile, Simba is living freely in the woods with his new found friends Timon and Pumba.
They taught him how to live with no worries and carefree but little do they know he is the king of the land.
The story takes a twist when Nala a childhood friend of Simba's mistakenly finds him and tries to get him to return home to take over the throne as King.
He refuses at first thinking he is not fit for the job and he killed his father.
With the help of his new friends and old friends they convince him to return to the Pride Land and fight for the throne.
Simba returns home with the guidance and wisdom from his deceased father and fights his Uncle Scar for the throne.
During battle Scar admits he killed King Mufasa and in a fit of rage Simba kills Scar.
The story ends with Simba being declared King of the Pride Lands.
Simba and Nala marry and have a little cub of their own to continue the Circle of Life.
The musical is being shown at the Lyceum Theatre, you can get your Lion King tickets there.
It is located on Wellington at the corner of Aldwych in the heart of Covent Garden.
The theatre is a no smoking venue.
There is no camera or videotaping allowed in the theatre during the performance.
