- In order to use the full functionality of your Creative ZEN Nano player, you will need to use it with special software that was bundled with the device. If the software does not download properly, there are several things you can do to troubleshoot. If you do not have Quicktime installed on your computer (or you have a version of Quicktime that is older than 7.0.3) then you will need to go to the Quicktime website and download the most recent version (see the Resource section for a link.) If installing Quicktime doesn't help, try rebooting your computer and closing other audio programs (such as Windows Media Player), which may be interfering with the installation.
- If you have successfully installed the Creative ZEN Nano software but can't get your music to transfer onto the player, check your connection first. Ensure that the player is connected to a USB 2.0 (hi-speed) port using the cord that was bundled with the player. If you have double-checked the connection but there is still a problem, double-check the files you are trying to transfer. The Creative ZEN Nano is only able to play back MP3 files, so any other audio file will either fail to transfer or fail to play.
- If your Creative ZEN Nano freezes during playback, there is most likely an issue with one of your music files. Note which track was playing when the freezing occurred and then try to restart your Creative ZEN Nano by holding the power button. Once it restarts, try playing the song again where the freezing occurred. If the player freezes again, that means the file is corrupted and you should remove it to restore functionality. If the freezing occurs again but during a different track, your Creative ZEN Nano may need charging.
