Overcome Problems Finding Commercial and Industrial Cleaning Operations

Finding the right Commercial and/or Industrial operations for your particular job is never easy.
There are different companies for different types of cleaning, and some commercial cleaning is specialised.
It is important that you select those that are equipped for such jobs.
Recently I have been helping companies to select operations providing cleaning in Peterborough.
There are many different types of Cleaning operations, ranging from office cleaning, referred to as commercial cleaning, to deep-cleaning of complete buildings and machinery, known as industrial cleaning.
Some companies will be able to provide a wide range of services whilst some may be more specialised.
There are companies that also offer support services such as:- • Pest Control • Sanitary Services • Window Cleaning • Internal Plant Displays • Carpet Cleaning • Grounds Maintenance • Graffiti Removal • Consumable Products • Barrier Matting • Floor Preparation • Chewing Gum Removal Is it an internal or external cleaning job? Again different companies cater for these different jobs, with specialised equipment, and appropriate health and safety trained employees.
Choosing a service provider can be fraught with difficulties, and you have to have stringent pre-qualification assessments and vetting procedures.
As with domestic cleaning, it is essential that you have a budget of what you are currently paying or what you might expect to pay.
It may be a new or additional service, or you may want to test the market or move away from your current providers.
Then you need to make a list of what is to be included in the cleaning contract, and the cleaning frequency of each element.
This list is then sent out to various companies for them to price and quote against.
In this selection process you can send this out to as many or as few companies as you wish.
I would however suggest that you also send a questionnaire with this, asking them what accreditation systems they have, and how they carry out performance and quality monitoring.
When you have received all the quotations and completed questionnaires, by a specified closing date, then you can take out those that do not fall in to your budgetary parameters or have the systems and processes that you require.
By this time you should have narrowed it down to a few companies that you wish to investigate further, and will usually be between two and five.
You will want to meet the people responsible for providing your services, and ask them to demonstrate their systems and monitoring procedures, including how they will reporting their performance and any problems to you.
It is also advisable to ask for references and/or examples of jobs that they have completed in the area.
You can then view for yourself, or ask the people involved as to whether the job was completed satisfactorily.
When you have selected the provider for your cleaning service, negotiate a contract with an initial trial period of one or two months to assess them.
You also need to agree a "Supplier Expectation" document.
This will be the levels of service and quality that you measure and monitor them against.
