How to Put Bait Fish on a Spoon

    • 1). Select you bait fish and pull it from the bait bucket. Grip the spoon lure in your other hand and push the rear tri-hook so you have access to the barbs.

    • 2). Push the lip of the bait fish through one of the barbs on the rear tri-hook of the spoon. Push the hook all the way through so the barb is out of the bait fish's lip.

    • 3). Check that the bait fish is facing in the same direction as the spoon -- this will give the bait fish a more natural motion as it trails behind the spoon during your retrieve.
