- 1). Launch GIMP and open the image you want to add a golden light source to by clicking "File" and "Open."
- 2). Select the Filters tab. Click "Light and Shadow" and then "Gradient Flare." A settings dialog appears.
- 3). Click the Selector tab in the settings dialog and click "Distant Sun." Click the Settings tab and insert an "X" and "Y" value to reposition the center of your light source. Adjust the radius by dragging the tab of the scrollbar to the left or right, respectively, to decrease or increase the rays. Click "OK" when you're happy with the result.
- 4). Save your golden-embellished workbook by clicking "File" and "Save As."
