- 1). Close Photoshop before installing new filters.
- 2). Navigate to your Adobe Photoshop folder and open it. Find Adobe Photoshop within the "Applications" folder if you're using a Mac. PC users should navigate to "Program Files," "Adobe" and open the Adobe Photoshop folder.
- 3). Browse to the "Plug-Ins" folder and open its window. Slide the window over as necessary, so that both your "Plug-Ins" and filter's folder are visible.
- 4). Grab the filter's folder and drag it into the "Plug-Ins" folder.
- 5). Repeat the process until all of your cool filters reside in Adobe Photoshop's "Plug-In" folder.
- 6). Launch Photoshop, browse for a photo or graphic and open it.
- 7). Use the open file to test the functionality of your new filters. Navigate to "Filter" in the main menu bar.
- 8). Scroll down to the name of one of your cool filters and activate it.
- 9). Check the "Preview" box to view the filter's effects.

Close Photoshop or begin a new project after you're sure the new filters are working.
