Spend You Next Holiday in Bundaberg in Queensland Australia

Lying just on the Burnett River, the city of Bundaberg offers a lot for both its locals and its visitors.
Found in Queensland in Australia, it is found around 239 miles from Brisbane and about 9.
3 miles from the coastline.
It is also known to the locals as 'Bundy', and is probably best known for its oceanfront accommodations.
The city is also famous for a number of exquisite sights such as the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, the Mon Repos Turtle Rookery, the Bundaberg Barrel and its stinger-free beaches with clear waters.
Head on over to the exquisite Great Barrier Reef, as well, and enjoy diving or snorkeling.
Driving your own 4WD around the eight National Parks in the city is also quite nice as you soak in the sun.
You may also enjoy fishing and meeting other locals, without the crowded ponds as that of other cities.
Bundy is the center in the Wide Bay-Burnett of Queensland.
As such, the name itself came from the Kabi word which means important man, and the German suffix which means mountain.
However, people say that this is only an artificial combination.
Perhaps the city is most popular and famous as the 'Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef' as it is found near the south of the reef itself, within the premises of Lady Elliot and the Lady Musgrave Islands.
Flying foxes are also seen around the northern parts of the Burnett River, just between the bridges of Burnett and Don Talon.
These bats generally leave the river during the wee hours in the morning, and go around the city to find their food.
Tourists can also head on over to the Mystery Craters in South Kolan, which are holes strangely filled with water.
Of course, the beaches are probably never neglected.
The Moore Park has 20 kilometers of beach filled with gold sand.
There are also a lot of beaches around the southern part of the Burnett River, but the summer months always get Kellys Beach filled with families.
Bundaberg has mild winters and hot summers, typical to subtropical areas.
The average annual rainfall is around 1141mm.
Generally, because of its temperature, beaches and other water sports are very popular amongst the tourists and the locals.
The city also has an airport which offers flights to Brisbane and the Lady Elliot Island.
Aside from flights, it also has various bus services that can take people from and to other parts of the country.
The airport is just beside the Central Queensland University, a public University in Australia.
Its main campus can be found in North Rockhampton, Queensland.
Bundaberg is considered to be sister cities with Settsu City in Japan, as well as Nanning in China.
The city also has sugar cane fields, as well as mills and refineries for sugar cane.
Most of their sugar is exported to other countries.
Tomatoes, legumes, watermelons and zucchinis are also some vegetables that are abundant in the city.
There is also Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, a local beverage producer.
