You might prefer a type of category of writing but the basic ingredients are the same in every kind and category of writing.
Once you have mastered these things in one type of writing (called genres), you can then move to another type of writing or genre of writing and be effective in communicating your ideas in that area.

For the villains in your writing, you are often trying to figure out why they would behave in that way and following along to see if they get caught.
Then seeing what happens to them as they face the consequences of what they have done.
It gives us all kinds of things to talk to others about and express our opinions as to what we think should happen to them whether it is a tv show, book or magazine.
This is also how it happens in real life.
Stories often can be discovered in the events of the happenings around us.
Your job is capturing those stories on paper.
See if you can take a real life event, write down all the details about how and why you think it happened the way it did.
The details as the story or event unfolds and working toward the outcome of the events.
You see it is the plot, how it unfolds, about the people involved, the characters, and how believable they were or were not to you as you watched it happen.
