- 1). Place 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef, 1 egg, 1 chopped yellow or white onion, 1 cup milk and 1 cup dried plain or Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs in a food processor bowl. Substitute soda cracker crumbs for breadcrumbs if you desire.
- 2). Add seasoning, such as salt, freshly ground black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, dried oregano or thyme or chili powder, to taste.
- 3). Turn the food processor on and pulse the hamburger mixture until it features a fine texture.
- 4). Transfer the mixture into a greased 5-by-9-inch loaf pan and form it into a loaf shape using your hands. Create a glaze by mixing 1/3 cup ketchup, 2 tbsp. brown sugar and either a dash of Worcestershire sauce or 2 tbsp. of brown mustard, depending on your tastes. Pour the glaze over the meatloaf.
- 5). Bake the meatloaf in an oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.
