How to Reposition a Task Bar

    • 1). Right-click in an empty area on the taskbar and click "Properties."

    • 2). Deselect the "Lock the taskbar" option, if necessary, and click "OK."

    • 3). Click in an empty area of the taskbar and drag it to one of the four sides of the screen, then release the mouse button when the taskbar is in the location that you want.

    • 4). Place the cursor over the edge of the taskbar that is closest to the middle of the screen until you see the double-headed arrow cursor. For example, if the taskbar is docked on the right side of the screen, place the cursor over the the left side of the taskbar until you see the double-headed arrow cursor.

    • 5). Click and drag the double-headed arrow cursor toward the center of the screen to increase the width or height of the taskbar, then release the mouse button when the taskbar is the size that you want.

    • 6). Right-click in an empty area of the taskbar and click "Properties."

    • 7). Click the "Lock the taskbar" option and click "OK."
