Free simple guitar tabs are hidden amongst all the guitar tablature that's out there.
There are some tremendous free resources with almost everything you can think of, some aren't too accurate, but some are absolutely spot on.
If you're looking for easy versions of something in particular, we can simply search for our favourite artist or band and follow it up with easy guitar tabs but that doesn't necessarily mean that what pops up isn't going to be easy, it doesn't seem to work that way - I wish it would.
Some sites have many different versions of the same song and their difficulty levels can be poles apart.
Normally, if there is a star rating next to the tab, it is for accuracy rather than difficulty.
I suppose it's difficult to rank that in a way that everyone will agree.
Particularly if you're a good guitarist and it's just your not so good at reading tabs, it's a real shame to stay like that.
There is one way around this, and that is to get better at reading them! You probably think it's easier said than done, but at the moment, how much time do you think you will spend now, straight after reading this, looking for something suitable.
I won't mention every time after that! It might feel like a sidewards step as you try and improve the 'textbook' side of being a guitarist, it feels a bit like a chore I know, but just imagine being able to look at all the tabs that are 5 starred for accuracy and filter out the others with a fairly good idea that you'll be able to nail it.
Unfortunately, there's no way of avoiding the digging that you need to do to find free simple guitar tabs, but you don't have to restrict yourself to these if you change your tactics a little and upgrade your skills instead.
