Deep Eye Wrinkles - Is Surgery The Only Way To Get Rid Of Them?

Let's face it, deep eye wrinkles are the worst. They are the face wrinkles that people notice first and they get people gossiping, "wow, she looks old". It's impossible to avoid wrinkling around the eyes since the skin in this area is so thin. You might say this is the frontline in the battle against skin aging. What weapons do you need? Some people jump straight to botox, but to me, that is like going nuclear against an enemy that is riding horses and shooting rifles.

Botox is sort of like setting off a nuclear bomb on your face. Sure, you get rid of unwanted eye wrinkles and deep forehead wrinkles. But you do damage to your skin in the process. Do you know someone who gets botox injections regularly? They have a frozen face; they can't make certain facial expressions anymore. And if they get injections around the eyes, they often can't completely close their eyes. That's a lot to put up with for smooth skin.

For me, this is not an acceptable trade-off.

So, without botox, what can you do about deep eye wrinkles?

Well, there are skin creams formulated specifically for the sensitive skin around the eyes. You might have tried a few of them...probably with poor results. But that doesn't mean you should give up on them. They can be quite effective if they address the root causes of wrinkles.

These are the three root causes of face wrinkles:
  • The gradual slowdown of the production of collagen and elastin
  • The decreasing level of hyaluronic acid
  • Free radical oxidation damage to skin cells

Unfortunately, most face creams fail to target and reverse these major skin agers. Why? Because it requires the use of higher cost natural substances as ingredients. Cosmetics companies are driven by profits; they use synthetic or chemical ingredients over natural ones if it saves them money. But that's not only all; they also regularly engage in dishonest marketing.

For example, as you may know, the body produces less and less collagen and elastin as you get older. These are the two skin proteins responsible for making skin firm and pliable. What companies often do is list cosmetic collagen on their product labels, making people believe that they can rub new collagen onto their skin and it will be absorbed into skin cells. But this does not happen since cosmetic collagen molecules are too large to be absorbed.

As a consumer looking to get rid of deep forehead wrinkles and deep eye wrinkles, basically you're on your own to find quality products.

What's your next step? Well, first you need to know which natural substances match up best against the big three skin agers listed above. That's not the main thrust of this article, but I encourage you to visit my website where I have organized this important info. After reading about these powerful anti-wrinkle ingredients, you'll think twice about using botox.
