In your most recent trip to the market to shop for flowers, you probably weren't aware that you could buy something more enduring, say flowers, that can last forever. Roses like nothing else, are incredibly popular and as is the case, anyone would be ecstatic to have these cherished flowers for ever.
Roses symbolize many things, especially as it relates to their numerous colors. The most common of these amongst the 30,000 varieties of roses is the color red which represents love and romance; red roses has always been known as the way to say "I love you." With a silver rose, the same emotions may apply as a specific color is not necessary to convey deep and meaningful emotions. Silver roses are made to resemble closely the natural rose. Even though the stems are decorated with silver leaves, the thorns are not a nuisance like on the real flower.
When it comes to buying a silver or gold rose, you may be a little confused as to which road to take - the silvery road or the golden one. Silver is a well liked choice simply because it's more economical than gold. A silver rose is just as beautiful a gift as a gold one, but it won't be as expensive and will likely give you the opportunity to buy more than one at a time. A rose made of gold could double the cost of a silver rose, thus it is worth the while to look at the variation in cost when deciding to buy.
Roses have evolved from a very long and fascinating history. Greek mythology has it that, the rose is part of numerous stories. It is thought that the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, brought the rose into being, which was shed from both her tears and the blood of Adonis, her lover. The Romans also took on the rose as their own after converting Aphrodite into their Goddess Venus - it was a symbol of love and beauty for them. The rose was then offered as pay off by Cupid to the God of Silence so as to try and conceal Venus' many love affairs. As a result, the rose then became a sign of secrecy and was used to decorate the ceilings of roman dining rooms as a reminder to guests to keep secret all that had been spoken about during dinner. Till the present time sub rosa (or under the rose) means confidentiality.
Luckily, roses nowadays don't hold that shame of secrecy as they have in days gone by. Any rose, including a silver one, is a treasured keepsake and is meant to be on display for all the world to see and admire.
