- 1). Download a blank certificate template online or use a blank page. There are many free certificate templates online in various styles.
- 2). Starting at the top, type in the name of your yoga school or studio. Center the name of your yoga school and choose a clear, bold font. This will accentuate the yoga school the certificate comes from, and also act as an advertisement.
- 3). Type the name of the person receiving the certificate, the type of training and how many hours were completed. Most yoga courses are certified depending on the number of hours they are, so be sure to include this on the certificate. For example, "This certificate is hereby presented to Jane Smith, for completing 150 hours in the study of teaching techniques for prenatal yoga."
- 4). Add the location where the training took place and when it was completed. You can also add specifics about what was included in the course. According to the Yoga Alliance, an international education and support organization for yoga, a 200-hour yoga teachers training course is broken down into various categories such as teaching methodology, anatomy, physiology and yoga philosophy. A certificate can include some of these details to outline specifics the student learned during the course.
- 5). Leave space at the bottom for one or two signatures. The signature(s) at the bottom are designated for the certified instructor who taught the course, the head of the yoga center or someone in a position of authority in the organization. The signatures should be in black or blue ink.
- 6). Leave room at the bottom of the certificate for the logo of your yoga studio. You can also purchase an official seal or emboss a gold or silver sticker with your yoga school's name and logo on it. This will help thwart illegal duplication or copying of the certificate you create.
