Stretching, increase height exercises, pills, diets and surgeries are now common topics when the issue of height increase is brought up. There’s almost nothing us ‘Little People’ won’t give to get those sacred few inches. It's not like we want to be NBA giants, we just want those extra few inches that can give us a healthy serving of presence. This article will cover information discovered by people who stretched their way a few inches up.
The Myth - Hot topics are full of myths and misconceptions, and height gain is no exception. As far as stretching is concerned, the most popular myth is probably the "Stretching makes me taller because I'm stretching my bones" myth. After puberty, bones neither grow longer nor stretch anymore. The only way to actually lengthen your bones is through expensive, painful and extremely risky surgery.
The Truth - Thankfully, stretching can in fact make you taller. This is because although bones are not stretchable, cartilage is. The cartilage we're referring to can be found in your legs and in your spine. There are cartilages in between the spine's vertebrae, which has the property to stretch and increase your height for a few more inches. Those discs, which are made up of cartilages, are found to be the most stretchable part of your spine, so that is where your growing taller exercises should start from.
To demonstrate just how important spinal cartilage is in your height gaining efforts, here's an experiment you can try for yourself at home. It's so easy you can do this experiment in your sleep - literally. First, measure your height. Next, when you go to bed tonight, sleep with your back flat on the bed. Lastly, when you wake up in the morning, immediately measure your height once again. Depending on the elasticity of your cartilage, you could actually have gained 1/2 Inch to 1 full inch of increased height - overnight! There's a catch though - this height won't last for long. The good news however, is that there are additional measures to get even better and permanent results. This exercise is simply to prove that stretching cartilage will in fact make you taller. Go ahead and try it tonight!
