- 1). Design your original window decal idea using a photo editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop. Either use digital photos, scanned artwork or clipart along with any text phrases that you feel will be easily read from your car window or other window you're thinking of placing your sticker. Save your image as a photo (.jpg), so that it can be easily uploaded to the Web.
- 2). Go to the website www.vistaprint.com and run your mouse over "Gifts and Fun" in the left-hand column. Click on "Window decals" from the list that pops up. Decide what size decal you'd like from the options provided (large or small). Think of the purpose of your decal when deciding this. If it's for your business, for example, you may want to go with the large size. However, if this is to let others know you have an alarm system in your home, you may decide on the small size.
- 3). If you have a complete design created and ready to upload, choose the "Upload a complete design" option on the page. If you have a design, but would like to see pre-made designs or designs that you can add personal touches to, click "Browse our designs" and choose a design of your liking before proceeding.
- 4). Look at the various options you have after you've uploaded your image. For example, you can upload a new image, or you can turn any white areas into transparency. Once you click "OK," you'll be able to click "Advanced editing" and add more text or images over your image. Edit your window decal using these options until the preview looks how you want your finished product to look.
