In infidelity the stronghold of marriage can either collapse completely or become even stronger. Of course, the latter usually results when the couple although hurt will choose to make the event a way to make amends and become better.
After Infidelity there are issues which needed to be resolve beforehand so that the family can move on to greater heights. And working the issues together as a couple will definitely become rather tasking since trust is already broken. However, infidelity like any other problems in marriage can always be resolved in ways that the couple agrees to.
1. Talk or communicate - Communication will always play a key role in building and sustaining a relationship. To Survive Infidelity the couple should be open-minded about the situation. Anger, blame, pain and other negative aspects of the event will definitely become a part of your day -to-day activities but it is up to you to make sure that these doesn't get in the way if you are indeed working on surviving your marriage. Talking to your partner is the first step to healing. When your partner feels the need to apologize - let him or her. Choose not to talk infront of your children and/or infront of other family members. Talk about the issue together as a couple without outside influence.
2. Forgive - Mistakes are often made within and without the boundaries of marriage. If infidelity happens you must always give your love and relationship another chance. Forgiving your partner for what he or she had done will help you together to grow maturely. Of course, you need to step up your ground and make sure that the infidelity does not happen again.
3. Never resort to Blame - Blaming your partner will only worsen the problem. Try as hard as you can to make sure that you also look deep within yourself and not just your partner. Problems within marriage are usually the result of the action of both parties that's why the solution to these problems also entails the attention both.
4. Building a Trusting Relationship - After Infidelity, this usually needs to be planned out well so that you won't have to stray away from your objective of winning your partner's trust back.
5. Attend Counseling - It is always better to have a professional and mature individual to help you resolve marital problems. Attending and answering Marriage Counseling Questions together with your partner is actually giving yourself a chance to learn on how you two can work out your marital problems.
