How to Tranfer From iTunes to an iPod

    • 1). Open iTunes and install any updates if prompted.

    • 2). Plug your iPod's white USB cable into the bottom of your iPod, or set your iPod Shuffle upside down on its dock, and plug the opposite end into a USB port on your computer.

    • 3). Wait for iTunes to recognize your iPod. If the iPod doesn't show up under "Devices," try unplugging and plugging it back into the computer, making sure it's charged and turned on.

    • 4). Choose "Sync" from the box that pops up, or on some versions "Erase and sync," to begin getting music from your iTunes onto your iPod. If no box pops up, it means your iPod is in manual mode. Get songs in manual mode by dragging them from iTunes to your iPod's icon.
