- The Hotel Riu Playacar features 386 guestrooms. Each guestroom has a refillable liquor dispenser and a mini-fridge filled with water, soda and snacks. All rooms have bathrooms with showers and bathtubs, central air conditioning and a balcony. Satellite television is available in each room.
- The Hotel Riu Playacar is an all-inclusive resort. All-inclusive means that all of your food, water sports and hotel activities are included in the price of your room and you will not be required to pay for anything other than items at the gift shop and off site during your visit. Your price includes your room, taxes, fees, gratuities and all beverages, even alcoholic drinks.
- Options at the Riu Playacar include six restaurants and bars, with a swim-up bar located in the main pool at the resort. Turquesa is located next to the swimming pool and offers all-day dining. Jade is a sushi and Asian restaurant that requires reservations for dinner. There is a bar in the lobby with a full menu of beverages and light fare.
- Activities at the Riu Playacar available in your price include entrance into the on-site nightclub and various water sports. Water sports include kayaking, windsurfing and the use of the hotel's snorkeling equipment. There is an on-site gym as well as two tennis courts that are lit at night for a late game. A sauna and jacuzzi are on site for the complimentary use of Riu Playacar guests.
- The Riu Playacar is located on a white sand beach in Playacar, Playa del Carmen Mexico. All Riu Playacar guests enjoy complimentary access to any of the amenities at the other Riu properties located in Playa del Carmen, including use of the restaurants, pools and water sports.
