Here"s Why You Can"t Diet

Do you have problems with eating? I don't mean stuff like you've never learned how to use chop sticks (neither have I lol), I mean do you have problems sticking to your diets? I used to have the problem of following a diet for a bit and then stuffing my face! Sometimes I couldn't even get a diet to last a day.
I would always tell myself that there's always more time to get this handled (there's not) and that just one won't hurt (when is it ever just one?).
But then one thing occurred to me that changed the way I went about it.
I realized that I had an emotional addiction to food! I have now realized that it's a very common thing, probably and epidemic.
You see, if you ever eat regularly when you aren't actually hungry the chances are you have and addiction to eating.
And, irritatingly this makes dieting almost impossible.
This is because dieting is hard and people who are emotionally addicted to food are likely to eat when they find something hard, so you break your diet, stuff your face and then you are miserable that you've broken your diet so, guess what you do? You stuff your face again for good measure! The worst bit about this is that it's not like you can just quit eating.
With other addictions you can quit them all together, but eating is different.
If you stop smoking then you save some money and you live a lot longer.
If you stop eating you save some money and die a lot earlier.
That's what makes this the absolute mother of all assholes.
To get over my emotional eating habit I found only one thing worked.
It was to start fasting intermittently for short periods of time.
After you've done it a couple of times you realize that most of the times when you eat you aren't hungry.
Not only that but intermittent fasting has been proven to be one of the best things for fat loss there is.
You body actually likes it.
Eat Stop Eat is a downloadable book that explains a lot about intermittent fasting.
It's where I got the idea from.
I also know that other people have had great success with hypnosis, such as Paul McKenna's book I can make you thin.
I've never tried it but I've never heard anyone say anything bad about it.
