"Cosi fan tutte", the well-known Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera, culminates as follows: Happy is the man who looks At everything on the right side And through trials and tribulations Makes reason his guide.
What always makes another weep Will be for him a cause of mirth And amid the tempests of this world He will find sweet peace.
Let us honor Mozart by putting in place his teaching everyday, starting today! Out there is like the surface of a lake.
The water is not always calm.
It completely depends on the weather...
It is fully dependent on what happens externally.
However, if you look at the bottom of the lake, you will see that it is always calm, even if the situation at the surface level is chaotic.
From there, you can see what happens in the surface, but you will see it from a place where everything is calm.
Of course, I am not recommending to pass all your time in the bottom of the lake.
To do that, you will probably need to retire to the Tibet and practice meditation all the time.
The extremes are not good.
What is certainly good is a compromise between being humanity and universality.
With this, I mean living our life in the surface to do things.
And from time to time, stop doing, and start being...
Go to the bottom of the lake! And when a storm starts in the surface, you will find each time more easy to go down to the bottom, where you can see the storm, but remain calm, and take reasonable decisions.
The practice of meditation is the training that will allow you to reach the bottom of the lake more and more easily.
Do not allow your mind to be dependent on what is happening around you.
You can go to the surface of the lake, observe, accept, and then come back to the bottom of the lake, where everything is stillness and happiness.
Interfering thoughts and emotions are obstacles floating in the middle, but you have skipped them in your trip to the bottom.
Once in the bottom, not depending on your emotions, you can use reason as your guide, assess the situation, and take reasonable actions.
Today, give this present in the memory of Mozart, in the benefit of yourself and all the people around you!
