I was recently asked by someone for four great tips for dating girls that would landy them a second date, instead of floundering around on the first one. The person who asked me had been having trouble getting a second date with girls. He could get the first date, but when it came to the second date, he was clearly clueless about dating girls.

1. Make sure that she's "into" what you're talking about. If you bore her with your conversation, then you'll end up only making yourself a fool and wasting both her and your time. Keep it interesting, if you try and still can't keep the topic interesting, then you might just need to find a new date anyway.
2. On the topic of what to talk about, never talk about yourself except for more than an introduction unless the situation warrants. And by situation warrants, I mean if you two had been making conversation beforehand and then end up having a brief "pause" of no talking. But if you bring up something about yourself, make sure it's entertaining to her.
3. This is more of a general part of tips for dating girls than anything, but make sure she's comfortable with you. Don't try to "steal a base" as I would call it, physically or intellectually. You have to be friends before you're anything else with a lot of girls, keep that as a general rule. Make her feel comfortable with you, this is pretty much the entire point of idle conversation.
4. In order to really get that second date, make sure that you give her a reason to give you a second date. All that emphasis that you should put on making her feel interested is what realyl weighs in at this point. Make sure that you know what she likes and maybe suggest a related event for your second date. Or say that you "know a guy" and you can get prime seats at some restaurant if you have the money for it. Basically, just give her a reason for a second date.

That's pretty much it as far as tips for dating girls and the second date go. It all boils down to giving her a reason to give you a second date. If you're shy, bit a bit daring. If you're overbearing, be a bit more loveable. Just do whatever it takes to make her interested and to make you appear as anything but a fool.
