The President is the Commander-in-Chief of all the United States Armed Forces.
He also is in charge of all federal departments i.
e.
Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of the Interior, etc.
and gets written and/or oral reports from each whenever he wants.
The President also has the power to pardon anyone of any crime except impeachment cases.
Clause 2: He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.
The President has the power to appoint Ambassadors, Judges, Supreme Court Justices, Ministers and Counsels, etc.
etc.
with the advice and consent of the Senate, approved by a 2/3rds vote of said Senate.
Congress has the power to say no to any appointee they decide is not up to the task.
That means that no President gets to have whomever he or she (HA!) wants just because he/she wants them.
The founding fathers were probably thinking of England's difficulties with King George, when he went a little crazy.

The Presidents is supposed to update Congress on the "state of the union.
" This has evolved to the State of the Union address given to anyone with a television or radio willing to listen.

4 The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
All elected officials, including but not limited to the President, can be impeached for crimes against the nation (treason), buying or selling influence (bribery), or other "high crimes and misdemeanors," whatever that means to the Congress at the time.
Apparently, the 105th Congress led by Congressmen Newton Leroy Gingrich (R-GA) and Robert L.
Barr, Jr.
(R-GA) feels that lying about a sexual indiscretion is a "high crime and misdemeanor" so I guess it could mean just about anything.

The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.
The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.
All court powers are endow to the Court systems, with the Supreme Court being the ultimate authority on legal interpretation.
Federal judges receive salaries that cannot be reduced.

2 Clause 1: The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;--to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;--to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;--to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;--to Controversies between two or more States;--between a State and Citizens of another State; between Citizens of different States, --between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects .
(See Note 10)-- See footnote...
Clause 2: In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction.
In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.
The Supreme Court resides over impeachments, but otherwise acts as the final appellate (like a legal second or third opinion, or final opinion if you will) court unless Congress passes a new law on that particular subject.
Clause 3: The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury; and such Trial shall be held in the State where the said Crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any State, the Trial shall be at such Place or Places as the Congress may by Law have directed.
If you or someone you know is on trail for anything other than impeachment, you have the right to a trial by jury in the State in which the supposed crime took place, except if it did not occur in any state (say on a military ship), then Congress prescribes where you shall be tried.
Section.
3 Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.
No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
Crimes against the United States by citizens of the United States (treason) means you have sold secrets or vital information to other countries or anti-United States enemies, you have provided enemies with "aid and comfort," meaning you have in some way made their campaign against the United States easier by providing a place to eat and sleep, an escape route or other things along those lines.
You CANNOT be convicted of treason with two witnesses to some treasonous act or if you confess.
Clause 2: The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
Congress can convict you of treason, but cannot take stuff away from your family because you are found guilty of treason.
