This week Taylor Swift holds on to the top of the chart for a seventh week with "Blank Space." Combining its reign with eight weeks for Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" and Taylor Swift's previous chart-topper "Shake It Off," this is 19 straight weeks in which women have held the #1 position. That ties the all-time record set in 2005. Meanwhile, Mark Ronson edges one spot closer to the top at #2 with "Uptown Funk!" The song has already hit #1 in the UK. Meghan Trainor's second hit "Lips Are Movin" climbs one to #4 making room for her "All About That Bass" to re-enter the top 5 this week. Fall Out Boy's "Centuries" jumps six notches this week to #14 which makes it the band's sixth single to reach the top 15. On the heels of his top 10 success as featured artist on Ariana Grande's "Love Me Harder," The Weeknd opens on the chart with "Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)" instantly becoming his third solo song to reach the top 50.

Three of the four biggest selling albums of 2014 close out the year in the top 5. Taylor Swift's album 1989 takes over the top sales spot of the year in the final week surpassing the Frozen soundtrack. Sam Smith's debut In the Lonely Hour became the second album released in 2014 to surpass the one million sales mark and ends up the third biggest selling album of the year. Just behind is Pentatonix with their holiday collection That's Christmas To Me also moving more than one million copies. Nicki MInaj releases her third consecutive top 2 charting album.  However, The Pinkprint is her first to not reach #1 on the chart. She ran into the Taylor Swift juggernaut.
