Claire Forlani moved to the United States from her native London, rising quickly in Hollywood. Well-known for her performance opposite Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins in Universal Pictures' "Meet Joe Black," Forlani will next be seen in the romantic drama "White on White," directed by Roger Spottiswoode and starring Barry Pepper, Jacinda Barrett, Tom Wilkinson, Willem Dafoe and Alan Cumming.
Prior to that, she starred in "The Medallion" opposite Jackie Chan and "Triggerman" opposite Pete Postlethwaite and Donnie Wahlberg, and "The Limit" with Lauren Bacall.
Raised by her British mother and Italian father, Forlani attended the Arts Educational School from 11 to 17 years of age, studying dance and drama. When she graduated, she pursued her acting career in England until 1993, when she moved with her parents to San Francisco. Three months later, she landed her first role as Ann Cannon, a mistress of John F. Kennedy, in the television movie "JFK...Reckless Youth."
Forlani starred opposite Ben Stiller and Greg Kinnear in Universal's "Mystery Men," in "The Rock" as Sean Connery's daughter, and as artist Jean-Michel Basquiat's girlfriend in Miramax Picture's "Basquiat."
Other film credits include "The Pentagon Papers" opposite James Spader, the MGM thriller "Antitrust" starring with Ryan Phillippe, the Miramax feature "Boys and Girls" opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr., the independent feature "Magicians," "Basil" opposite Christian Slater and Jared Leto, the independent film "Into My Heart" with Rob Morrow, Kevin Smith's "Mallrats" and the independent feature "The Last Time I Committed Suicide" starring opposite Keanu Reeves and Thomas Jane.
Forlani is currently in Rome, Italy starring with Harvey Keitel, Joshua Jackson, Gerard Depardieu and Giancarlo Giannini in the filming the comedy/drama "Shadow Dancer" for director Brad Mirman.
