Lint rollers come in a surprisingly wide variety of sizes and types.
As with many products, they can appear the same when in fact they are drastically different, possibly leading you to pay more than you need to.
Learn about some of the variations available to ensure you are getting the most for your money when purchasing them! 1.
Mini Lint Roller: These small items are wonderful for keeping in your purse or coat pocket! Mini rollers typically come with 15 or 30 removable adhesive sheets.
Typically you won't find an industrial version, since they are not conducive to cleaning anything in large quantities because of their size.
2.
Regular Lint Roller: These rollers typically come with 30, 60, or even 70 removable adhesive sheets.
Therefore if you are at a dollar store and think the one dollar lint rollers are a great deal, be sure to check and see the number of sheets as there are likely only 30, or possibly less! The lint rollers with 60 or 70 sheets are often referred to as "jumbo" lint rollers.
Another way they are made cheaper is by having a lighter weight handle, or even one that doesn't allow the adhesive sheets to roll.
(You have to do the rolling yourself.
) 3.
Industrial Lint Roller: These items are used by dry cleaners and others who have large quantities of items to clean.
Because they are used so frequently, these lint rollers typically come with 60 or more adhesive sheets each.
The handle is also extra firm and rolls more smoothly than any handle found at a retail store.
Some industrial brands have a stronger adhesive as well.
While the industrial rollers are more expensive, they do also work extremely well.
4.
Lint Roller Refills: Refills are not available for every type or brand of lint roller.
Some lint rollers are true throw-away products.
But the brands that do offer refills typically offer the same type of roller as the one with the handle you purchased.
By reusing the handles, you can definitely help the environment and save yourself some money too.
Next time you are looking at the store for lint roller products, be sure to consider all the parts of the roller before choosing your product!
