A lot of people have gone nuts with the news that the ndm-1 is now considered to be a superbug.
And they have a good reason to panic, considering that there are already around 50 reported cases in UK alone, and a few others in different countries in Europe and Southeast Asia.
That's why the thing that's on the mind of a lot of people today is whether or not there is already an ndm-1 vaccine.
For a layman, it's easy to request for a vaccine because it's the natural thing for us.
Whenever there sis a new disease or a new scare, we automatically look for a solution.
But with the ndm-1 enzyme, there is something scary about it.
Because it's not really a bacteria, it isn't really the target of the vaccine.
What it does instead is bind with other bacteria and make them much more powerful, to the point that they are already insusceptible to antibiotics.
Make that all known antibiotics today, even those that are strong enough to kill the stronger bacteria.
Having said this, experts are currently having a hard time developing an ndm-1 vaccine since it makes bacteria virtually invincible.
Nonetheless, there are still ways which people could do to prevent being infected with ndm-1.
The key is simply cleanliness.
Because ndm-1 enzyme usually binds with bacteria like E.
Coli, the best thing to do right now is to make sure to watch out for symptoms of E.
Coli and learn about the ways on how to prevent them.
Think of them as powered up bacteria to the nth power made possible by ndm-1 enzyme.
